30.06.2025

At the Green Days 2025, over 70 entrepreneurs and interested individuals came together at the Switzerland Innovation Park East to find out how small and medium-sized enterprises can use sustainable solutions as a competitive advantage - be it through energy efficiency, renewable energies or the circular economy.

The event offered exciting keynote speeches and practical workshops on the challenges of the energy transition and the circular economy. Experts from various sectors shared their knowledge and showed how companies can successfully align their business models with sustainability.

Program highlights:

  • Dr. Alexander Fust (KMU-HSG) opened the event with a keynote speech on the role of SMEs in the energy transition and the benefits of sustainable practices.

  • Ivo Angehrn (Drees & Sommer Switzerland) presented new opportunities for regional value creation through energy efficiency to net zero.

  • The workshops discussed practical solutions for the decarbonization of buildings, industrial waste heat as a resource and circular business models.

  • Simone Hochstrasser (Matratzen-Allianz) provided insights into mattress recycling in Switzerland, a successful example of the circular economy.

  • Christian Wick (Mettler Entwickler AG) explained the principles of the circular economy based on the transformation of the “KUBIK” site.

  • Noah Heynen (Helion) spoke about energy efficiency and innovation, and Dr. Nathalie Casas (Empa) gave the keynote speech on the future of energy, mobility and the environment.
