The Switzerland Innovation Park East in St. Gallen is part of the Switzerland Innovation network and one of six main locations in Switzerland – alongside Basel, Biel, Lausanne, Villigen and Zurich. The network is based on a joint initiative by public institutions, science and the private sector and a legal mandate from the Federal Council.
Switzerland Innovation Park Ost AG aims to strengthen cooperation between companies and local cutting-edge research. As an innovation hub, it enables faster development and direct market access for innovations. In the areas of health, sensor technology and digitalization, the Innovation Park East supports everything from ideation to innovation to the development of business models. Founded in 2021, Switzerland Innovation Park Ost AG merged with the Startfeld and Startfeld Innovation Center associations in 2022. The Startfeld brand will be continued for startup funding.
Since 2021, the Innovation Park East has been committed to strengthening innovative strength in the Eastern Switzerland region and the Principality of Liechtenstein. By networking research and industry, innovations are accelerated and the development of new business models is promoted. But where and how exactly does the Innovation Park East support? The SIP East is part of a versatile network . Research partners are EMPA, St.Gallen Cantonal Hospital, University of St.Gallen, Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and RhySearch. Anyone who is part of the SIP East community has access to knowledge and research results that flow into the development of marketable products, processes and services. The SIP East focuses on three key topics from the regional economy: health and performance, sensor technology and digitalization.

Receive funding as a startup
Part of the Innovation Park East is the startup funding Startfeld . Ambitious people from Eastern Switzerland who want to start a business benefit from a comprehensive support program. The startups go through different stages in the funding process . During the initial consultation you will receive valuable input on the opportunities and risks of your project. By pitching to the expert committee, the startup can receive a funding package. This gives you access to a wide range of services that will take your startup to the next level. The last stop in the funding process ends in front of the Startfeld Foundation and ideally with successful financing.
