The canton of St.Gallen is launching additional start-up advice centers in Buchs and Rapperswil. The new locations in the regions expand the existing services offered by Startfeld in St.Gallen. As the first point of contact for people interested in founding a company, experts provide on-site support and navigate through the regional startup ecosystem.
The canton of St.Gallen is further expanding its commitment to promoting start-ups: In addition to the established Startfeld advice center in the Switzerland Innovation Park East in the west of the city of St.Gallen, two new contact points are being created in Buchs and Rapperswil. This will further strengthen the regional startup ecosystem – with short distances, individual advice, support and events on site.
The advice centers are aimed at founders from all sectors and at every stage of business development. Whether it’s about refining a business idea, the actual start-up, financing issues or the next growth step – the service is broad-based and free of charge.

At all three locations – in Buchs, Rapperswil and St.Gallen – experienced startup experts are available as initial contacts. The initial consultation is open to all those interested in founding a company and young entrepreneurs. Based on their individual needs and starting position, they are given rapid access to relevant information, funding, networks and suitable support services. Startfeld’s start-up support process remains focused on innovative and scalable start-ups.
Canton of St.Gallen continues to expand its startup offering
With the establishment of the new advice centers, the canton of St.Gallen is continuing to implement its strategy to promote start-ups. The canton of St.Gallen has signed a three-year contract with Startfeld to finance the additional advisory services in Buchs and Rapperswil. At the end of 2025, the physical services will be supplemented by a digital online start-up counter, which will provide support for founders regardless of time and place and digitize and simplify the start-up process.
