Innovation Hub

sensors

At the forefront: Sensors from Eastern Switzerland are key players for measurements, optimizations and quality assurance – and they are shaping the future of big data and AI evaluations. Developed and produced by our research and industrial partners, high technology is distributed all over the world: in measuring devices, vehicles, robots and machines

SENSOR INNOVATION HUB

Together with our partners OST and RhySearch, the Switzerland Innovation Park East is building the SENSOR Innovation Hub excellence cluster for industry and research. Groundbreaking sensors for industry are created here, based on microtechnology, photonics, coating and precision manufacturing. We are strengthening Eastern Switzerland’s pioneering role in sensor technology and creating a place for the exchange of ideas.

  • Optics, photonics
  • Precision manufacturing
  • Semiconductor technology
  • Measurement technology / sensors

Our offerings for networking and knowledge transfer are continually being expanded. We are currently working primarily on formats for specialists in the SENSOR INNOVATION HUB. Keynote speeches with research experts on specific sensor-related topics are being planned.
Target audience: companies, start-ups, and specialists

Modern, functional sensors are to be installed in the showroom in Buchs . Companies and research institutes are invited to present their products and technologies. Visitors will be able to try out these sensors and learn about the functional principle and the connections with a digital twin or similar.

The following goals are pursued in the workshops:

  • Identification of new use cases and sustainable business models in connection with newly developed technologies.
  • Conception of new initiatives or projects.

From the food industry to medical technology: sensor technology drives innovations in eastern Switzerland and strengthens regional competitiveness.
