25th Eastern Switzerland Technology Symposium

Industrial production is at a turning point. Increasing pressure to reduce costs and speed up production, complex supply chains, and a shortage of skilled workers call for a new way of thinking. Now is the time to redesign production—to make it faster, smarter, and more sustainable.

To achieve this, SMEs in Eastern Switzerland need agile processes, maximum flexibility, and well-founded, data-driven decisions. AI, automation, and smart systems foster transparency, efficiency, and genuine competitive advantages. At the same time, sustainable production is becoming a key success factor: lower CO₂ emissions, more efficient use of resources, and future-proof solutions for both the economy and the environment.

The Eastern Switzerland Technology Symposium (OTS) addresses these challenges. Experts from industry and OST—the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland—will showcase applications and best-practice examples from the manufacturing sector.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the OTS, all visitors will benefit from an even broader range of educational opportunities, as this year the symposium will be held as part of the preXcon – The Precision Technology Convention . This brings together the maximum amount of technical expertise from Eastern Switzerland in one place.

The trade event for innovation and technology transfer in precision engineering will take place from November 3 to 5, 2026, at the Olma Messen St. Gallen exhibition grounds. The OTS will be integrated into the event program on Thursday, November 5, 2026, as a separate special section in the St. Gallen Cantonal Bank Hall.
