The ecosystem on campus is becoming more diverse

12.12.2024

We welcomed the OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences to our campus in St.Gallen for the start of the 2024 fall semester. After one and a half years of construction, students and staff were able to move into modern lecture rooms, workstations, laboratories and a workshop on several floors. Among other things, there are two multi-use laboratories and a robotics laboratory.

The OST on the Lerchenfeld campus is the training facility for mechatronics students in St.Gallen and is also used by the industrial engineering course. It is also the home of the Computer Science Institute I3 and the EMS Institute for the Development of Mechatronic Systems.

This step will strengthen the “Education” pillar on the SIP East campus. The new laboratories and workspaces offer an ideal infrastructure for interdisciplinary projects in which students, lecturers and industry partners can work together on pioneering solutions. The proximity to companies and start-ups in the Switzerland Innovation Park East creates additional opportunities for cooperation and exchange between science and industry.

Become part of this ecosystem yourself by delegating employees from your company to SIP East for a short or longer period of time. Away from their familiar surroundings, they will find it easier to come up with new ideas and implementation possibilities. Depending on your needs, we offer daily, weekly or monthly rentals.
