More innovation, more power under one roof: In June, the Switzerland Innovation Park Ost merged with Startfeld. On July 1, the merged companies began operations.

The Innovationspark Ost takes over the employees employed by Startfeld. At the same time, he fills the positions in the management team that are linked to six areas.

Hans Ebinger, Managing Director of Switzerland Innovation Park Ost, will primarily work in the emerging Innovation Center. Urs Sidler heads the Transfer Center, which develops and sells services for SMEs. Bärbel Selm is responsible for the Networking Center, which gives companies exclusive access to research and business partners. Start-up funding is now also part of the innovation park, but will continue to work under the established Startfeld brand in the future. Peter Frischknecht becomes head of the Startup Center. He is also responsible for campus development, which also includes the rental of rooms and conversions. Cornelia Gut-Villa becomes head of the Investor Center and continues to act as managing director of the Startfeld Foundation and the Smartfeld Association.

Strategic direction

The innovation park’s strategy also envisages developing two specialist areas. The focus will be on the subject of “health and performance” on the one hand and on the area of ​​”sensor technology” on the other. In addition, the innovation park wants to address SMEs from various industries with a wide range of innovation services and support them with know-how in development projects.
