SUMMARY:Trends in Sensor Technology in Medicine
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to this guest lecture\, which is part of the CDHI lecture series “Digital Health Forum“. \nIn medical applications\, there is a trend towards ever more precise and refined\, and therefore expensive and complex\, diagnostics\, including personalized medicine. At the same time\, there is an opposing trend towards more frequent\, simpler and cheaper diagnostic sampling supported by portable or wearable sensors\, which tends to be used to determine progression and does not always have to be extremely accurate\, supported by intelligent systems based on closed feedback systems. One example is the “hospital at home”\, especially for patients with chronic illnesses or when hospital stays or visits are complicated to organize. \nThe trend towards outpatient or hospital external medicine is justified by lower costs\, improved and simplified long-term monitoring and the exclusion of examination bias. Modern sensor concepts support this development. \nprogram\n\n4 p.m. Arrival of the guests \n4:15 – 5:45 Lecture\n5:45 Tour and aperitif\n7:00 End \n\nFormalities\n Date & Time \n2 May 2024 \n4 p.m. – 7 p.m. \n Location \nSwitzerland Innovation Park EastLerchenfeldstrasse 39014 St.Gallen \nor \nonline (Zoom) \n Language \nEnglish \n Keynote Speaker \n \nProf. Adrian WeitnauerOST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences \nTHIS IS A HYBRID EVENT AT SWITZERLAND INNOVATION PARK EAST\, FOLLOWED BY AN aperitif AND A PRE-OPENING TOUR OF THE HEALTH INNOVATION HUB SHOWROOM.\nImportant Information\n\nPlease be aware that we will be recording this guest lecture and will be making it available in the HSG teaching library.\nIf you have any questions\, please contact Victoria Brügger(victoria.bruegger@unisg.ch) prior to the start of the guest lecture or Bärbel Selm(baerbel.selm@innovationspark-ost.ch) during the event at the Switzerland Innovation Park East.\n\nRegistration\nThe event is free of charge.
