SUMMARY:Living environment Nursing home for people with dementia
DESCRIPTION:Demenz geht uns alle an\nDemenz – die Diagnose ist für Betroffene wie Angehörige nicht selten ein Schock. Die schleichend verlaufende Krankheit des Gehirns hat viele Gesichter und tritt überwiegend bei älteren Menschen auf (> 60 Jahre). Nach und nach sterben immer mehr Gehirnzellen ab\, das Gehirn schrumpft. \nIn der Eventserie beleuchten wir die Thematik aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven\, suchen Möglichkeiten für einen positiven Umgang und sprechen mit Betroffenen. \nImpulsvortrag und Talkrunde\nDer Eintritt in ein Pflegeheim ist sowohl für Menschen mit Demenz als auch die Angehörigen oft ein schwieriger Schritt. In dieser anspruchsvollen Situation sind alle gefordert\, die Betroffenen\, die Angehörigen und die Pflegenden\, den Eintritt und Aufenthalt für die Person mit Demenz bestmöglich zu gestalten. Die Verantwortlichen der Heime sind aufgefordert\, sich mit der Frage nach dem «besten» Pflege- und Betreuungskonzept\, das den Bedürfnissen einer Person mit Demenz gerecht wird\, zu befassen.
